Description

Magnetic & Snap Mounting

  • Magnetic base: the housing seats straight onto the magnetic rail, so the driver is located by the track itself rather than by a bracket screwed to the ceiling.
  • Snap reinforcement: a mechanical snap takes the load off the magnet once the unit is pressed home, so the fixing never relies on magnetic force alone.
  • Stable in service: because the magnet positions the unit and the snap holds it, the housing stays put when lamp heads are added, moved or slid past it along the rail.
  • Placement freedom: the unit can sit where the layout makes sense — behind a display, near the end of a run or out of the sightline — instead of wherever the nearest feed point happens to be.

Applications

  • Residential lighting: accent lighting over kitchen islands, dining tables and living areas, where the head can be re-aimed later without an electrician visiting.
  • Office lighting: reception desks, meeting tables and corridor accents that get rearranged when teams move, with the supply staying discreetly on the rail.
  • Commercial lighting: shop windows and display walls where the light has to follow the merchandise rather than a fixed ceiling grid.
  • Exhibition and gallery lighting: temporary stands and hanging displays, where a magnetic track light power supply keeps the driver on the rail and out of the sightline.
  • Distributor stock: wholesalers and contractors who hold 48V track drivers for fit-out, refit and replacement work across mixed projects.

Installation & Beam Adjustment

  1. Check the system: confirm the rail is a 48V magnetic track and that the run is complete and clean before mounting anything.
  2. Plan the position: decide where the driver will sit along the run — close enough to the track connector, and clear of the fittings that will slide past it.
  3. Seat the unit: bring the magnetic base to the rail, let the magnet locate it, then press until the snap engages.
  4. Fit the heads: attach the lamp fixtures in the planned positions and check that each one is properly seated on the track.
  5. Aim the lighting: slide the fixtures left or right along the rail until the beam falls where you want it, then lock the layout in place.
  6. Test before handover: power the run up, check that every head lights evenly, and confirm the driver still sits firmly when the fixtures are moved.

Ratings & Load Planning

Choosing between the two versions comes down to what the run has to carry. Add up the rated wattage of every lamp head on the track and compare that figure with the unit: 100W suits compact accent runs with a handful of heads, while 200W covers longer tracks, larger heads and layouts where more fittings may be added later. Leave sensible headroom instead of running a driver at its limit, because start-up draw and voltage drop along a long rail both eat into the available margin. As a 48V LED power supply, the output has to match the heads on the run, so keep the whole system on one voltage.

Scale & Supply Capability

We are a China-based LED switching power supply manufacturer supplying wholesale and project buyers. Our portfolio covers a wide range of series, so you can source stable constant-voltage drivers, 12V/24V auto-sensing units, fully potted waterproof models for outdoor signs and landscape lighting, brightness-controlled units for advertising signs, and magnetic-mount versions for secure indoor installation — all from one supplier. Wholesale supply is available. Share your application and voltage requirement, and we will point you to the series that suits your order.

FAQ

Q1. Which magnetic track systems does this unit fit?

It is made for 48V magnetic lamp and track lighting. The rail family and the connector are what decide a direct fit, so send us your rail profile and a photo of the track end and we will confirm before you order.

Q2. What should I check before replacing an existing driver?

Start with the label on the old unit: output wattage, connector type and the size of the housing, then compare it with the run you are feeding. A like-for-like rating keeps the layout unchanged; if the old driver was working hard, moving up a rating is worth discussing. Send a photo of the label and the rail and we will check the fit before you order.

Q3. Is this unit suitable for outdoor or damp locations?

This is an indoor LED power supply, designed for interiors such as homes, offices, shops, galleries and exhibition spaces. For positions exposed to rain, spray or heavy condensation, our weather-protected ranges are the better answer. Tell us where the driver will sit and what it will be exposed to, and we will confirm the right construction.

Q4. How should the units be stored and handled on site?

Keep them in the original carton until they are needed, away from standing water, dust and heavy foot traffic. Check the housing and the connector for damage before installation, and handle the unit by the body rather than pulling on the track connector. On long projects, store drivers in a dry room rather than an open site container.

Q5. Can a driver be changed without opening up the ceiling?

Yes — that is the practical advantage of the magnetic fixing. The unit lifts out of the track, a replacement seats in the same position, and no ceiling panel has to come down, which matters in shops and galleries that cannot close for long. Keep the old label details on file so the replacement matches the original rating.

Q6. Can one unit serve more than one track run?

One unit normally feeds one continuous run, with the driver seated in that rail. If the layout has separate tracks, islands or a run split by a wall, send us the plan and we will tell you how many units the layout needs. Keeping each run on its own supply also makes faults easier to trace.
