Mount the unit where water drains away instead of collecting — under a ledge, inside the frame, or on a bracket clear of standing water. Keep the housing closed: the potting is what gives the unit its protection, so never drill or cut the case to pass a cable through it, and use the sealed cable entry provided. Face the cable entry downward and form a short drip loop so water runs off the cable rather than tracking into the gland. On billboards and pole-mounted signs, fix the unit against vibration and leave a little room around the housing for heat to escape. Before power-up, check the polarity and confirm the load is rated for 24 V. If the mounting position is tight, send us the dimensions — as an LED driver manufacturer we can usually tell from a photo whether the unit will sit correctly.
We are a China-based LED switching power supply manufacturer supplying wholesale and project buyers. Our portfolio covers a wide range of series, so you can source stable constant-voltage drivers, 12V/24V auto-sensing units, fully potted waterproof models for outdoor signs and landscape lighting, brightness-controlled units for advertising signs, and magnetic-mount versions for secure indoor installation — all from one supplier. Wholesale supply is available. Share your application and voltage requirement, and we will point you to the series that suits your order.
Every model in this series is a 24 V LED driver, with ratings from 60 W to 400 W. The output voltage has to match the rated input of the load, so a 12 V strip or fixture will not run correctly on it. If your project uses 12 V lighting, tell us before you order and we will point you to a series built for that voltage.
Dust cannot enter the housing, and the unit is protected against water exposure at the position where it is mounted. That is enough for exposed signage, garden lighting and pool surrounds, but it is not a licence to leave the unit permanently submerged — fix it above the water line so water drains away. If your site floods or sits in a low-lying area, send us the details and we will advise on the mounting.
Yes. Pool-side lighting is one of the environments this series is specified for, along with outdoor signs and landscape lighting. Mount the unit above water level where splash drains away, and keep the cable entry facing downward. Tell us where the lighting sits and we will confirm whether this waterproof LED power supply or another model in the range suits the circuit.
It can. A constant voltage led driver holds its output at the terminals, so on a long feed the voltage at the far end of the run may drop and the last fixtures will look dimmer than the first. Heavier cable, a shorter run, or a rating with more margin than the load calculation suggests are the usual fixes. Check the run length before you commit to a model.
Very little. Inspect the housing and the cable entry once or twice a year, tighten the gland if it has worked loose, and clear any leaf litter or debris that has built up around the mounting. Wipe the housing with a damp cloth when it is dirty. Do not open or drill the case — the potting is the protection, and once the seal is breached the unit is no longer protected.
Match three things: the output voltage, the total wattage of the load, and the space the old unit occupied. If the failed unit was an LED sign power supply fitted inside a tight cabinet, measure the internal height and note which way the cable entry faced, because the replacement has to sit without being forced. Send those details with your load list and we will confirm the right rating.
